Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ) & Mackenzie District Council Regulations
Raincliff Scout Camp comes under the regulations as set down by the Mackenzie District Council and FENZ.
There is a Building Warrant of Fitness(WOF) Book is located on ledge below Building WOF to Right of Lodge kitchen doorway. This must be completed and signed on site by all hirers.
This notes clearly the need to keep all exits clear and to not prop open the Fire Door at then of the Bunkroom Corridor.
Fire Wardens responsibilities are on the notice on the noticeboard in the Lodge, but can be reviewed HERE

For Open-Air Fires

You may require a current fire permit from Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ) before lighting any open-air fire. - Check Conditions & if a Permit is Required:
Apply for a permit and check current fire restrictions via Check it's alright before lighting a fire. - Safety Measures:
Even with a permit, you must have a safe path to extinguish the fire, keep it away from combustible materials, and never leave it unsupervised.
